SORG partnered with ArmstrongB2B® to create a documentary-style content series that brings its decarbonisation journey to life.

At a critical stage in the development of its CLEAN Melter®, SORG needed to communicate complex innovation while reinforcing its leadership in sustainable glass production. The result was a multi-part docuseries that combines technical insight with human storytelling, building sustained engagement and positioning SORG as a transparent, forward-thinking leader in clean glassmaking.

Challenge

SORG had reached a pivotal moment in its decarbonisation journey with the development of its electric melter technology, a more sustainable and cost-efficient solution for the glass industry.

 

As a recognised market leader, the business needed to communicate this complex innovation to a global audience. The challenge was not simply to launch a product, but to tell a broader story of transformation. SORG needed to demonstrate leadership and credibility in sustainability while making a highly technical journey engaging, accessible and authoritative.

Strategy

The strategy repositioned the CLEAN Melter® as part of a much larger narrative.

Rather than presenting it as a finished solution, it was framed as a key milestone in SORG’s long-term commitment to decarbonisation. The approach focused on uncovering the story behind the technology, including the challenges faced, decisions made and lessons learned along the way.

Through a structured series of in-depth interviews and carefully developed questions, we built a narrative designed to establish SORG as a thought leader. This allowed the business to share insight and direction at a time when the wider industry is actively seeking guidance on sustainability.

The campaign was brought to life through a seven-part docuseries, hosted on a dedicated platform designed to support ongoing engagement.

Each episode explored a different stage of SORG’s journey, from early industry pressures and initial design concepts through to installation, collaboration with a launch partner and the future of clean glassmaking. This episodic structure reflected the reality of long-term innovation and encouraged audiences to follow the story over time.

The series was supported by a planned release schedule and promoted across SORG’s digital channels, driving repeat engagement and encouraging viewers to register for future episodes.

At the centre of the content was a people-led narrative. Engineers, researchers and decision-makers shared their experiences, offering insight into the complexity, risk and ambition behind the CLEAN Melter®. Cinematic production and strong editorial direction ensured the series balanced technical depth with clarity and human relevance.

Results

The docuseries created a distinctive and credible platform for SORG to communicate its decarbonisation journey.
