Summary

ArmstrongB2B® partnered with Novelis for the second consecutive year to develop its 2025 Sustainability Report, transforming complex environmental data and performance metrics into a clear, engaging and strategically driven communication tool.

By structuring the report around Novelis’s core sustainability priorities, we combined strong narrative storytelling with disciplined information design to present progress in a transparent and accessible way. Clean, modern design, supported by CGI, infographics and bespoke visuals, helped bring technical data to life while maintaining global brand consistency.

Alongside the report, a dedicated digital landing page extended reach and accessibility across audiences. The result was a highly effective sustainability communication that balanced rigour with engagement, reinforcing Novelis’s leadership in circularity and decarbonisation and leading to an ongoing partnership for the 2026 report.

Challenge
Novelis is a global leader in aluminium rolling and recycling, supplying innovative and sustainable aluminium solutions to industries including automotive, aerospace, beverage packaging and specialty products. With sustainability central to Novelis’s long-term growth strategy, its annual Sustainability Report is a critical communication tool for investors, customers, partners and employees.

For the second consecutive year, ArmstrongB2B® was appointed to develop Novelis’s 2025 Sustainability Report. The challenge was to present complex environmental data, performance metrics and strategic progress in a way that demonstrated transparency and authority, while remaining engaging and accessible.

The report needed to reflect the scale of Novelis’s operations and ambitions, reinforce brand consistency globally, and communicate progress against meaningful sustainability targets without overwhelming stakeholders with technical detail.

 

Strategy
Our approach combined narrative clarity with disciplined information design.

We structured the report around Novelis’s core sustainability priorities, ensuring that performance data supported a coherent story of progress and transformation. Rather than treating the document as a compliance-led publication, we shaped it as a strategic communications asset that reinforces Novelis’s leadership in circularity and decarbonisation.

Working closely with Novelis’s team, we developed the overarching messaging framework and provided copywriting support to ensure consistency of tone, clarity of explanation and alignment with corporate positioning.

 

Creative
The project brought together multiple ArmstrongB2B® capabilities, including strategy, copywriting, design, CGI, key visual development and digital execution.

The design reflects a clean, modern aesthetic aligned with Novelis’s global brand. Through considered layout, typography and visual hierarchy, we ensured the report remained highly readable while presenting substantial technical content.

CGI and bespoke key visuals were developed to bring data and operational themes to life, allowing complex metrics and achievements to be communicated in a visually engaging way. Infographics and structured data treatments helped transform performance figures into compelling visual stories.

Alongside the core report, we developed a dedicated digital landing page to host and promote Novelis’s sustainability content online, extending reach and ensuring accessibility across audiences and devices.
