By transforming complex technical data into a cohesive narrative and visual toolkit, we enabled Loram to communicate the safety, precision and operational benefits of switch grinding more effectively, helping position it as a critical component of modern rail maintenance programmes.
Challenge
Loram is a global leader in railway maintenance, with a strong reputation in rail grinding and infrastructure optimisation. GateSync® enables safer, more precise and efficient ballast distribution, reducing manual intervention and improving track performance.
However, a key opportunity existed in the area of switch grinding. Despite proven capabilities, successful trials and strong performance data, awareness of switch grinding remained limited among customers.
The challenge was not a lack of capability, but a lack of clarity. Existing information was highly technical and difficult to digest, making it hard for engineering leaders and decision-makers to fully understand the operational and commercial benefits.
Loram needed a way to communicate its expertise in switch grinding through a clear, engaging and persuasive story that could be easily communicated across sales conversations and customer touchpoints.

Creative
The creative approach focused on transforming complex technical concepts into clear, visual and engaging assets that could support both education and sales.
We developed a suite of high-quality CGI visuals and animations to demonstrate how switch grinding works in real-world rail environments, illustrating the impact on rail wear, performance and maintenance efficiency. These visuals also highlighted the role of GateSync® in enabling precise, automated ballast distribution.
Infographics were created to communicate key data points and benefits, making it easier for decision-makers to quickly understand the value of switch grinding without needing deep technical knowledge.
To support the sales process, we delivered a comprehensive toolkit including proposal templates, technical specification sheets and a company overview presentation. All materials were designed to a consistent, high visual standard, ensuring a cohesive and professional brand experience across every touchpoint.
