OlympusMAX Launch

Summary

SPX Technologies asked ArmstrongB2B® to launch OlympusMAX, the flagship addition to its Marley Olympus cooling portfolio and the company’s biggest product launch in five years. We created a hero animation that introduces OlympusMAX as the pinnacle of the Olympus line while positioning the full portfolio, from dry to evaporative cooling, as the most future-ready solution for data center operators balancing performance, water use, and sustainability.

OlympusMAX Launch

Challenge

The data center cooling market is under growing pressure to balance energy efficiency, water conservation, and reliability. Rising densities driven by AI and other high-performance workloads are pushing traditional cooling systems to their limits, while water scarcity and regulation are forcing operators to seek solutions that minimize consumption without sacrificing performance. Customers expect measurable improvements in PUE alongside near-zero tolerance for downtime.

SPX needed to launch OlympusMAX, a next-generation, higher-capacity fluid cooler, in a way that communicated both its technical depth and its role as the pinnacle of the Olympus range, without losing the audience in specification detail.

Strategy

Our approach centered on a hero animation that could carry the full weight of the launch. Rather than treating OlympusMAX as a standalone product story, we positioned it as the flagship of the entire Olympus portfolio, using it to showcase SPX’s full breadth of wet and dry cooling capability in a single, cohesive narrative.

The strategy focused on translating complex engineering, adiabatic pre-cooling, modular scalability, advanced water management, into a clear, benefit-led story for a mixed audience of data center engineers, facility managers, and C-suite decision-makers. Water and energy savings, operational simplicity, and future-proof scalability were established as the core pillars, giving the creative a clear hierarchy of messages to build around.

Creative

ArmstrongB2B® developed a hero animation that visualizes OlympusMAX’s hybrid dry-and-adiabatic operation in action, demonstrating how the system adapts to ambient conditions in real time. The animation moves from the unit’s modular, factory-assembled construction through to its role on a working data center site, making an inherently technical cooling process visually intuitive.

The result is a launch asset built to anchor SPX’s biggest product introduction in five years, engineered to work across the launch event, sales conversations, and digital channels, while reinforcing OlympusMAX’s position at the top of the Olympus portfolio.
