Challenge

With the CityCat in development for over two years, we had to create and develop photo-realistic renders of the final machines to be used in technical and marketing communications prior to the launch.

Strategy

We studied the engineering CAD files and optimised the models to be suitable for ultra-realistic 3D. Modelling parts that were still in the prototype stage, we would also create bespoke textures in CGI from sample parts of the machines. Every part, from the hydraulic hose and brushes, to the tyres and flexi-hose, had to be designed and built from scratch.

Creative

Final shots of the sweepers were rendered from several different angles, both as a range and with individual parts isolated, to demonstrate the highly engineered product being launched. All renders went through a rigorous post-production process to ensure that they represented a uniformed suite.
